Service du Patrimoine
The Service du Patrimoine organises walking tours around Menton's famous gardens and also gives regular tours of the beautiful Old Town. They also organise exhibitions relating to the history of Menton. This is their headquarters and is where visitors meet prior to a tour. The guides are always people qualified by the Minister of Culture.
Oh, this is VERY nice; I know that it is difficult to capture well wrought iron gates because of the spaces in-between the bars. However, the background on this photo is a picture in itself. Well-done!!
ReplyDeleteSweet shot...well done ,J
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough when it comes to shutters and iron gates--seriously. the little sign is a nice touch--
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of that! The minster of culutre! Imagine!!!
ReplyDeleteThe shutters look well-used and worn. I wonder if the walls, doors and windows get soaked when it rains?
ReplyDeleteI like the gate. It might be old and worked by a blacksmith. I note the occasional rusty spot.
I like your photography.
I would take that garden walk in a heartbeat. It sounds like a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
ReplyDeleteShutters are beautiful and usually embellish the building but are a pain to paint :(
ReplyDeleteAngela
Now that is a job to aspire to!
ReplyDeleteI love private courtyards like this. It's so beautiful and...well, private. Although I rarely ever see anyone use the area. Maybe it's too small to put up some chairs and a table.
