A Painted House

The light was just right this morning to photograph this painted house. I've tried getting the detail in the past and it's never worked, so let's have a day away from the beach and see what the centre of Menton has to offer.     This is a beautiful home with lots of effort placed on the details. I especially like the shutters and the tall narrow windows ... Your comment about lighting is oh so true. Lighting makes or breaks most photos.

    Gorgeous photo of a lovely house!
    Is that a rooftop terrace? I wonder if it's a private home or do they rent out rooms ;-)

    Charming. I like the shutters with the middle sections opening outward too. Colors are comfortable. There are certainly a lot of flowers on the balcony but they seem to be thriving.

    Some home owners are just so creative. I would never have thought of doing something like that. The detail is just so pretty and delicate.

    And those flowers on that little balcony...oh...just lovely.

    I like the feeling of the facade and the painted work, especially as it just seems to fall from the eaves, however that balcony display is magnificent!
