Early evening and this restaurant, Le Lido in La Place aux Herbes is almost full. This used to be simply a bar/tabac and slowly over the years it's evolved into a successful seafood restaurant. See the couple of the foreground? - the man with the hat and the lady in red - well if you'd like to see what is hidden behind them, please click on this link - you won't regret it!
I'd like to be in that restaurant. Every thing looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great spot - very colorful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place to eat. I love outside eating.
ReplyDeleteThat something that I liked in my trips to France, was they dogs seem to follow their owners everywhere. (oops, I wasn't suppose to tell the secret)

Counting down to my 100th photo posted this week.
We love eating in places like this on warm balmy nights when we are away on holiday.

Like Steve I remember how the families could and would bring their animals with them, to restaurants and elsewhere. In the U.S. that is becoming more and more acceptable now though one can still be refused entrance or service occasionally.
ReplyDeleteSo you're having a better summer than we are in the UK. Good for you!

ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and I fixed the link. Or just click on this one to read my story about the dog tags and see the photos too. When you get there, you will find a link there to go to the place where the tags are available.
ReplyDeleteAbout Dog Tags
Yes, I think bringing a dog with you to a restaurant is civilized! As far as I know dogs haven't created food poisoning or a hepatitus scare with contamination as humans have!
ReplyDeleteActually the term, "Dog Tag," is from the US Army. All soldiers wear them and they are called, "dog tags."
ReplyDeleteI think it is funny. And, yes, you can put a dog's name, address and phone number of a tag for around $5.00 US Dollars.
I brought my daughter to this restaurant on our last night in France to celebrate her 20th birthday. What should have been a pleasant occasion was soured by a waiter(bald) with such a bad attitude, on smashing a cracked glass into a nearby bin a splinter hit my daughter's leg. It almost spoilt the night except for my daughter's attitude . We got an excellent service on the promenade shortly. I noticed the comments on dogs, did they have two legs or four?
