L'Exocet - 2

The season is almost over but in this photograph, taken three weeks ago, it was in full swing. Here you see diners eating at L'Exocet, right on the beach. The 'leg' you see running away is that of a young girl who has been washing her bathers under the beach shower. For a morning view of this same restaurant, please click on THIS LINK.

  1. We humans certainly do love beaches, don't we. Busy place!

  2. Nice photos as usual. Life soon returns to normal when the visitors all go home. Nobody in the picture looks underfed. I just read in our newspaper that people who live in Ohio are getting fatter. It seems to be a world wide thing. Fat. Weight. What causes it all over the world?

Thanks too for your visit to my blog and for catching up.

  4. Thanks for your comment on my blog. The girl has an 8 month old black lab with a pink collar to match! She was watching her dog play. The photo essay will have Roxie in it. Please wait a week for the photo essay. I am travelling in Cleveland OH for this week and will be back Friday Night in Jax.

  5. Hi Jilly, I hope you enjoyed a nice meal there alongside all these people.

  6. Would all these people be tourists or locals? If they're all tourists, what happens when they all leave? Do the restaurant owners go on vacation during the off season?

  7. Most of these people would have been tourists. However, even when the bulk of tourists go (the families with children), there are always visitors to Menton, even in winter - especially in winter cos we are lucky, our winters are mild. So, yes, restaurants close for holidays - perhaps November - February - but if one is closed, another is open. The place doesn't close down as do some holiday resorts - it's a year-round thing here. Many like to visit in Spring and Autumn, for instance, my favourite time of year too. Not too hot as it is/was in July and August.
