Fête du Citron - shopping!

And so, we've visited the Fête du Citron - so what can we buy to take home? Well, unsurprisingly, all thing citrus - orange and lemon trees, mimosa trees, fridge magnets, postcards, conserves, lemon olive oil, citrus liqueurs - in particular, the delicious Limoncello - and of course - lemons and oranges. Thanks for visiting the festival with me. Come back again next year and we'll do it all over again but with a different theme.

Tomorrow, we'll pop across the road to the Palais de l'Europe where we'll pay a quick visit to the exhibition of orchids.

  1. I have some of that delicious Lemoncello and some Orangecello in my home right now. Every now and again I take a little sip of one or the other and dream of Provence.

  2. This lemon series is lovely! That big boat is awesome, there is one in the Philippines like this but with flowers....I bet it really smells so nice there!

  3. Thank you so much for your tour of the Fete du Citron! Atlantic City is a town on the ocean (we call it the shore) in New Jersey. Many years ago, in their effort to expand the summer season, they created The Miss America Pageant which still exists today, but is no longer held in Atlantic City. And I will refrain from any comparison of parading lemons to parading women! Or, should I say "Fete-ing" lemons and "Fete-ing" women!

  5. Limoncello is a winner every time. I can hardly wait to go to Sorrento in April to replenish last year's supply. :) Thanks for the great photos.

  6. I've never had limoncello. I'll buy some of the fruit and make marmelade, mmmmm ! I have a fantastic recipe from Sicily for making lemon marmelade...

  7. Perhaps Nathalie could be persuaded to share her marmalade recipe???
Everything is so beautifully and colourfully presented Jilly. Sadly, I can't eat citrus raw - it's too acidic for me, but I love marmalade!
