All the acts parade around the 3 kilometre circuit, stopping every 100 yards or so to perform. The pirates were great fun - much banging of drums, a sword fight which naturally the girl won to great applause! And a Johnny Depp (sort-of) lookalike too.
Shiver me timbers, is the best way to describe these marvellous shots. I reckon that I had better arrive a month earlier. Fête du Citron is brilliant, Jilly. Perhaps we could present an Australian contribution to the Festival, (to rival the Brazilians). I'm sure we have bigger lemons in Oz?
Oh Jilly I have to say that now for me pirates will forever have the angel face of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow!!!
ReplyDeleteThe photo just makes things look great. I guess because they isolate and focus on one thing at a time.
ReplyDeleteAnd did those pirates rob a lot of "citrons"?
ReplyDeleteI love pirates and their antics! You captured the event well.
ReplyDeleteJ'adore les costumes d'époque !
ReplyDeleteMignon ce jeune pirate des Caraïbes (sigh) !
Shiver me timbers. I like the girl pirates too:)
