It's around 1.30 and we are walking to the Corso. Some people are lunching in a restaurant, some on the beach, some are simply sunbathing. These four photographs were taken with 15 minutes of each other yet people have rather different ideas as to how warm it is!
Hello Jilly, besides these being wonderful photos they made me hungry ... can I have a "Crépe Suzette, s'il vous plait?"
ReplyDeleteooh they all look like wonderful ways to be spending the day. I like the concept of the photo. Maybe we could do that for theme day. 4 activites in a lunch hour...
ReplyDeleteI so hate you! LOL Just kidding.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Jim's comment! And Mo's theme day idea is great, yes.
ReplyDeleteAnd those photos... Jilly, have a heart, you are killing us! :)
What a gorgeous place.
Good observation. I think the young are able to stand a little cool air much better than those who are older.
ReplyDeleteThat water looks just wonderful.
An interesting collage. The four photos together tell a larger story. I especially like the idea of a meal by the sea.
ReplyDeleteMoi je prendrais bien une petite crêpe face à la mer...
ReplyDeleteOh that looks like a fine day. Anyone go for a swim?
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting all the lemon festival pictures last week. I really enjoyed looking at them.
ReplyDeleteJust the thought of being able to enjoy a meal or relax outside would be nice right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos.
Really enticing.
ReplyDeleteI think it depends if they're locals or tourists ;-)
ReplyDeleteNothing nicer than a good meal alfresco.
Really nice photos.
ReplyDeletethis looks like a nice vacation spot... blue waters, sidewalk cafes, it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the walk--I enjoyed myself!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great montage!!! The people in the bottom left photo are obviously from Melbourne!!!!
I've noticed that many Northern Europeans can sunbathe in weather I find freezing...so it's understandable why some are more dressed than not.
ReplyDeleteWow...from sweaters to swim suits. Lol :)
ReplyDeleteSurely Spring is in the air and , yes, the Melbourneites have arrived.
ReplyDeleteThey probably could not read the sign !!!... but they would not have seen a beach as nice as this one.
(Just joking ?)
My husband and I had the chance to stay in Menton for a week during the 2006 Lemon Festival. We spent more than we should have whiling away the time at "The Big Boss".
ReplyDeleteIn fact, last year a girlfriend and I stopped in for coffee on our way to Ventmiglia. We sat on the patio, just to other side of the entrance.
Your photo of this makes me miss it even more!
Did you think it was hot or cold? It certainly looks warm enough for T shirt and shorts.
ReplyDeleteAhhh The Big Boss, I will be eating there on Monday with my girlfriend, their food is superb and their ice cream is something else. :o)
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos, first thing I look at when I get up.
