Lunch and love by the sea in Menton - Italy in the background.
I've not shown a Black and White photo before - so many thanks to Chuckeroon from Richmond upon Thames Daily Photo who suggested it for this one. And of course to Eric from Paris Daily Photo for the inspiration following his romantic Parisian marriage proposal.

I would much prefer his hand fondling a breast than a package of Marlboro cigarettes. I wish there was some way I could let him experience my difficulty in keeping from suffocating. His pursuit of love will, hopefully, be a good one and net him one spouse who will be willing to adjust the oxygen tank and feed him soup.
ReplyDeleteThe black and white photo is excellent Jilly. You are to be congratulated on trying the experiment. I think you captured the perfect moment though the bean head in the background could have looked the other way. Or, well, never thought, he might have been coming on to you.
The photography is very good.
Abraham Lincoln in Brookville, Ohio now playing the part of Mrs. Zac Efron's employee.
Monsieur le Président.
ReplyDeleteFor all we know, this gentleman, the bean-head, may have been the bosom fondler of someone else!
Crash-hot shot, Jilly
Oh I love this photo! I think it is stunningin Black and white, Jilly.
ReplyDeleteI'm sooooo loving your new camera!
Good call, Jilly! With the b&w, the couple is the focus, not the (stunning, no doubt) background.
ReplyDeleteYes, the "bean head" is definately not happy with you...Russian mafia? ;-)
I like it. And it's a good title.
ReplyDeleteHi Jilly, Great to see you getting the love and hug moving on from Paris to your city. Eric has kick start a positive vibes throughout the globe now! It always warms the heart to see how romance is manifasted in the photos. A loving photo is always a welcome!
ReplyDeleteLet's spread the loving feeling through our photos!
How many kisses is custom over at Menton?
ReplyDeleteIs this another FZ18 moment? She must be a bit cold, by the thickness of her cardigan. Though I bet its still warmer than here.
ReplyDeleteIneke - Two or three. Two seems more usual.
ReplyDeleteGail's Man - yes, the FZ18. This was taken on Good Friday when it was colder. Much warmer now although WINDY.
I like the B&W effect for this shot. By the look of the shadows I suspect in colour the lighting would have been a bit harsh.
ReplyDeleteI saw this last night Jilly, looking over M.B's shoulder without my glasses on. It looks much better this morning with my specs on my nose. She looks so happy - would love to know what he said to make her laugh so spontaneously. The fellow at the next table only had eyes for you! I'm thinking that perhaps he was the girl's bodyguard. Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteWas that a "hello" kiss (two or three), a friend's kiss or a lover's kiss? It doesn't matter in fact, because the picture is terrific! Had to laugh at the Russian mafia bodyguard in the background ! (I really enjoyed reading all the comments before mine)
ReplyDeleteThis is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, Jilly. And yes, I think I unconscionably and unconsciously "appropriated" your "slurp" title. What's the phrase about "appropriation" being the sincerest form of flattery?
ReplyDeleteBest,
K
Very nice! It could be a scene from a movie.
ReplyDeleteI think that the fellow in the background is eyeing you off!
ReplyDeleteWhether it is for a spot of intimidation or a bit of a cuddle, I'm not so sure.
Yes, to everyone who mentioned it - I don't think the guy in the background was too happy!
ReplyDeleteAnd Gordon, you are right. I took this photograph on the first day with the new camera - not that I'd have done any better two weeks later! - but yes, the light was far too harsh and it simply didn't work as a colour photo. Well spotted! I thought I'd fooled everyone... ;)
See! Play on the Dark Side and everybody loves you!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with B&W nor with love, too, for that matter!
