Morning Light

The morning sun - hundreds of dots of light dancing on the sea is something I just love. Here, I've photographed somewhat against the sun - doubtless breaking rules - but I don't mind the steeples in shade. Do you?

This was taken just below the cemetery and looking over the Old Town and port.

  2. It's a gorgeous image, shaded steeples and all. Put me in mind of Nice, a place that always makes me smile. I could look at this all day. The Riviera, JUST LOVE IT.

  3. Blah rules. If we stuck to every rule then we would have no fun, no ice cream and ... well no j-walking as well as the fun stuff like talking photos

Its a lovely photo, i think i could sit and look at the view every day and see something different (if it is in the rules that is)

  9. One should always break rules, that's our sense of adventure.
An adventure that validates one. The proof is in these comments. What fun. What a wonderful shot. What a superb nick of the woods in which to break all those silly rules.

(BTW: I bought a 43mm ultra-violet filter today for the FZ-18. Just to protect the lens and to add a little sharpness. On devrait en penser? )

  21. If ever there was a reason to break a rule, this would be it Jilly. All those gorgeous terracotta roofs and the steeple in shade doesn't matter, it is as one would see it in real life. Just lovely.

  22. I never tire of seeing shots like these...Menton's facade, Menton from above, Menton from below. Taken at any angle Menton is just such a pretty town.

I can only echo the others - there are no rules. I like the tumble of roofs down to the harbour - very mediterranean - and without the lighting it wouldn't have the same effect
