Summertime in Menton - Karting
Each summer, you'll find one weekend devoted to Karting. This year the 36th Grand prix was held and here you see one of the heats. I can't imagine how hot these kids must have been in their gear but presumably they don't think of that as they dream of growing up to be Schumacher or Hamilton, both of whom started in Karting.
The races are held at the far end of the Sablettes Beach and prove very popular with visitors who sit in the cafés, sip their cooling drinks - and enjoy all the excitement.

C'est moins torride que ton post d'hier...je suis déçu ;-)
ReplyDeleteje suis d'accord avec chateau-gontier ;o)) faire du karting avec cette chaleur, cela doit être insupportable, je les plains
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!! Are they noisy though when you are sitting on the footpath having a drink or two????
ReplyDeleteCan big kids play too?
ReplyDeleteFUN!! Those cars are so cool - what a great opportunity for any kid lucky enough to drive one!
ReplyDeleteBet those little guys are in heaven. What a thrill for them.
ReplyDeleteWow. Those little cars go like a bat out of hell. I see them, sometimes, on television with adults in the seats and they are screaming fast.

Good way for kids to work off energy...and a little bit of sweat!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jim on this. That looks like fun. Takes me back to my younger days when we would build our own go karts! Ours were not that nice...or likely that fast either but we had fun racing nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteVous les plaindriez si les temps feraient 42° comme ici en été.
ReplyDelete27°, c'est parfait !!
En fait tout est parfait dans ton photo; je viens.
Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to be able to drive a cart like that when I was their age. It must be wonderful to go screaming down the streets in a cart and dream of the grand prix.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful youthful sight, under brilliant sunshine. nvious on all counts. Too much rain here, even the poor kids have neglected the skateboard park.
ReplyDeleteLooked like the kids have lots of fun during summer. Cool.
