Summertime in Menton - the Prince

Watering the hanging pots the other day, who should pop out and jump on the plastic support of another pot, but a frog. He lives in the right hand pot you see in the smaller photo.

Do you think if I kiss him he'll turn into my Prince?

  1. Wow! What a great set of pictures here today Jilly, especially this frog and the piano recital.

Great work on your blog today and a very appropriate picture.

I've just racked up two years at South Shields Daily Photo and I hope to be passing here in two years time to compliment you again! Keep up the good work!
Thanks to everyone who has passed by and left a comment or some encouragement, it makes it all worthwhile.

  3. I don't know if he will turn into a prince. If you need a prince, I am sure someone who is already a prince will come to your aid.

  8. Oh, Jilly! How fun! I would have jumped through the roof! When we were in FL, I was walking the dogs and a baby frog jumped out of the bushes. . . scared me to death. . .not that I'm afraid of frogs. . .just that it came from nowhere.

  9. Well, I think he's already a prince of a frog, no doubt eating bothersome insects for you, all the better for your enjoyment of the balcony or terrace or whatever that space is. Wonderful photo!

  13. Ah, Jilly, don't hold back; give it a whirl!! In answer to your question on my blog: no, both the Republican and Democratic Conventions are held in different cities prior to the national elections. Cities bid and vie with one another to land the reservation since it means increased revenue. The host cities supposedly have facilities (restaurants, hotels, large meetings halls, etc.) that are attractive. Apparently St. Paul planned and bid for both parties and promised to take the first one that made a decision, if we were chosen. It'll be fun for some people but a nightmare for others (police and people trying to get to work, etc.) So, that's the story.

  16. Pourvu que ton prince ne rencontre jamais mon post d'aujourd'hui, il n'en ferai qu'une bouchée.

  19. Jilly, the details in the first photo is spectacular. I mean, the clarity is mind blowing.

    Great job!!

I would trade my NYC apartment for a month in that small flower pot with the frog as my room mate.
