jilly I showed mr.benaut your photos of yesterday. Needless to say he can't wait to get to Menton LOL
Re my footprint photo today, yes there's a bit of post processing involved. My good friend Photofiltre helped me remove the legs and just keep the feet!!!
Shucks. What happened to the girls? I am almost 74 years old already and time itself is getting shorter. I got some of these outside and we never called them succulents. I saw those on the post the other day. I will tell you what these are called. We called them this all through the World War II years. They are "hens and chickens."
Honest. Hens and chickens are what they are over here where I live.
That's what I miss when I come back from Menton : Sun of course, and also COLORS! When I'm fed up with the grey, I look at your blog, and it reminds me how happy I 'll be at the next holidays.
Jilly I pass you an award on Monday post. For the love of this city. Pass it to other bloggers. They're so many to diserve it.
Sweet colors and a feeling of summer warmth in this lovely capture! I adore the lace edge and tassels of the curtain within and the curve of the iron without. Thanks for capturing this small, very pleasing scene for us! -Kim Seattle Daily Photo
That green works beautifully against the pinky red of the house.
ReplyDeleteMust say I enjoyed yesterday's post and the comments were so funny!
I agree with Angela: The color contrast really grabbed me. You certainly have an eye, Jilly!
ReplyDeletela plante essaye de fuir sa prison. les couleurs sont superbes (fleur et fenetre)
ReplyDeleteI like the colors of this photo. There are a lot of pretty people on your blog, Jilly !
ReplyDeleteYou should come and see M. and Mme Benaut on my blog before they get to Menton !
That sound you hear is the collective sigh of a lot of guys who thought succulents were something entirely different.
ReplyDeleteBut it's a really nice pic Jilly.

Great photo! Love the objects as well as the colours. You did a wonderful job on this one!
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at your interpretation of "seniors" on my blog the other day.
There are so many bloggers visiting one another in France. How fun!!
This is a beautiful photo. Worth framing!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet WAyne scrolled right down and had another peek at our girls today! LOL
ReplyDeleteThis photo is so nice. I love the color but especially like the lovely curtain with the lacy edge peering out.

My granddaughter's portrait is over at Canon Pixels
Love that terra cotta color with the iron, the colors work well together. Agreed that's it's worthy of being framed!
ReplyDeleteWe used to call these "cat and kittens." In any case, they're lovely, with the terra cotta color.
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly getting back to checking blogs.
That's such a perfect tableau. I wish I could see that in my town. Sigh. Wonderful photograph, really just perfect.
ReplyDeleteOoooh....those are so pretty. We call them 'hen and chicks' here because of its tendency to sprout little ones on the side.
