Summer's End - the Walls that Grow
Just in case you think you've landed in Jules' Rabaul or somewhere equally exotic - not so. This is Menton. We are at the plant fair and this little cabanon has walls that are alive - it's planted with all sorts of vegetation. You can see the product used in the smaller photograph - also used for yesterday's squirrel.

ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea -- to make the cabanon walls of living plants. I guess you can't afford to sell any of this as you would lose your roof.

ReplyDeleteWe call it spaghum moss down here. we mostly use it to put around plants in containers etc but I think it's also used to plant in like your topiary yesterday. Interesting display for sure.

ReplyDeleteI saw a show yesterday about a lady who was considering buying a home in Belize (3000+ sq ft) that had a palapa roof. . . This booth reminded me of that. I don't think I could live under a roof made of that stuff. . . .
