Just in case you think you've landed in Jules' Rabaul or somewhere equally exotic - not so. This is Menton.
We are at the plant fair and this little cabanon has walls that are alive - it's planted with all sorts of vegetation. You can see the product used in the smaller photograph - also used for yesterday's squirrel.

encore une superbe construction végétale, beaucoup de talent et d'imagination. je suis toujours aussi fan.
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea -- to make the cabanon walls of living plants. I guess you can't afford to sell any of this as you would lose your roof.
ReplyDeleteI want one of those in my yard!
ReplyDeleteWe call it spaghum moss down here. we mostly use it to put around plants in containers etc but I think it's also used to plant in like your topiary yesterday. Interesting display for sure.
ReplyDeleteJilly, your end of summer series continues to delight! I can see this unique hut perched near the shore with friends enjoying a scrumptious meal of barbajuan that you posted earlier. :)
ReplyDeleteYour weather still looks very summery there.
The orange curtains rock with that perfect blue sky! Yes!
ReplyDeleteI saw a show yesterday about a lady who was considering buying a home in Belize (3000+ sq ft) that had a palapa roof. . . This booth reminded me of that. I don't think I could live under a roof made of that stuff. . . .
ReplyDeleteHe, he, he!! It does look a lot like HERE!!!! Pity it wasn't - we could have had a gin or three!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's intersting the walls that grow.
