Autumn - Cats' Craving
Lunch at the Beausejour in Gorbio. Two village cats are avidly hoping for left-overs. Given the chance they'd have grabbed something/anything/everything. What is it with cats? For any of you following Monte Carlo Daily Photo lately, you'll remember the cat at the Chèvre d'or in Eze village doing the same thing. (click on the link)
My computer guru and good friend, Anthony, had come over from Cannes to move files and folders from my PC to the new iMac - and this lunch was a sort of thankyou - he loves the Beausejour - and so do I.
You can see, in the small pic, how the plates looked before we demolished the food. Anthony ate the duck. Mine is the fish - a dorade. No comments about red wine not going with fish. It went just fine...
Your local restaurant serves excellent food by the look of it. Certainly the local cats recommend it...
ReplyDeletewow. another great meal. lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteThey should put up a sign. Recommended by the local cat community!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture with the cats!
ReplyDeleteAnimals can be so facinating and nice to look at.
The seem hungry :)
Red wine has that tendency. On my recent trip to France, I was putting out no more than E3 for to-die-for wine. In Australia that converts to about $7 which would tear the skin off the insides of your cheeks!
ReplyDeleteMMMMMM, I don't blame the kitties. Congratulations on your new IMAC> You will fall in love. I like to say that "Mac" is the only man in my life, but he's a keeper for sure. Dependable, helpful, and is always so glad to see me each morning taht all the little icons bounce up and down on the dock when I wake him up each morning. Oh, and I forgot to add that he doesn't run around with other women like other's I've known. :)
ReplyDeleteBoy, that's a good-looking meal. To me in the before and to the cats in the after!
ReplyDeleteYou wash it down with whatever you like! I'm sure the cats will be happy with a bowl of milk :)
ReplyDeletej'ai peur les monstre d'hallween vont manger les plats
ReplyDeleteCute cats. Brings back good memories of my cats (both 14yrs old, died last year). Even today when I open a tuna can I still have a reflex for protecting it from hungry paws!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Happy Halloween! Your post made me so ravenous I have to go have lunch! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog:)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers in the lemon are awsome, slightly over the top. The photo with the cats is great.
I suppose I'd draw the line at combining red wine with a peanut butter sandwich ... but only just ... and then I'd probably choose wine instead of the sandwich instead. My palette thinks white wine is overrated :)
ReplyDeleteBut cats and fish always go together! They obviously have little fear and good taste.
aw...poor fellas. I bet they are dreaming about fish lunch right now
ReplyDeletegreat photo!
How cute, and adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love both photos for different reasons. The big photo really showed the cats prowling and eyeing the food on the table. The smaller photo has the food, of course. :-)
ReplyDeleteI found a new Blog. I am happy.
ReplyDeleteMy wife wil be even more happy.
She loves Menton after our trip there in 2005.
lol. And they KNOW they ought not to be there too you know. Just look at their faces! LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh - that meal looked delicious - I don't blame the cats for craving a taste! Did you sneak them a bite or two?
