one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
At the Chestnut Fête, you get a good deal more than roast chestnuts and hot wine. There are lambs, guinea pigs and chickens for sale. You'll find stalls selling cheeses, breads, conserves, wonderful fresh garlic, walnuts, olives --- on and on.
Tomorrow, we'll meet the Lamb Lady.

ReplyDeleteLambs, babies goats and little ducks are one of my best chilhood memories...they follow you everywhere!
"Dogs", did you say? ;-))
ReplyDeleteune belle photo, amusante. Sympathique TES jeunes modeles
ReplyDeleteChildren and baby lambs both pull on the same emotions. Instinctually one smiles and thinks how adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe chestnuts sound great. But what interest me is the hot wine and the tequila you mentioned.
Cute photo. I thought lambs were just a spring thing? You live and learn. All the different things you've desscribed make it sound like a fantastic fete.
ReplyDeleteHow delightful! (Though not a fan at all of roast chestnuts)...
ReplyDeleteRe The Icebergs - you are kidding!! I'm definitely a warm water swimmer....it's still too cold round Sydney for me now!
Are the lambs sold to be eaten. I hate the idea......
ReplyDeleteOur little Kaity June has died and we are very sad. She was the dog of my American family.
I'm a big hypocrite when it comes to lambs...I feel guilty when I see them like this, all cute, but eat lamb...maybe I should stop. This is a cute photo of all the lambs, those with four legs and the one with two! Cute little girl.
ReplyDeleteAs usual you are able to capture magical moments and expressions ! Great !!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a priceless laugh. I love the pointed finger too. This little lady is quite the character and is obviously enjoying her day at the fete.
