The Keyhole

An ancient door in the Old Town - long past its best - its keyhole rusted and useless. Yet the effect is beauty - even art.

  2. Could not agree more - art and beauty. It shows distinct character. This is the sort of image that is worthy of being printed. Actually, may I please knick a copy?

  3. It looks like the lock plate was even plastered over at one point. Very nice detail.

  8. I have seen some very old key holes but this beats them all. And held on by four nails, no less. Wow. Very old stuff there.

  11. I just commented on a blog that was showing an old fallen tree - great textures are to be found in old wood and same comment applies to this very different picture.
