Do you remember the mother helping her child to drink - a glass in each hand? (see photo on left)
How does such a Maman get something to eat? Easy - along comes the helpful husband, ready to feed his wife a tasty goody - you see this in the B & W pic and also in the last one.
Note the area specially created for the children.

it's all about families taking care of each other.
ReplyDeleteamusant cet effet, j'aime bien
ReplyDeleteThe hands here are so delicate, Jilly.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet :) Love that children's area, so fancy! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love what you've done here. That bit of color in the life-sustaining hand of the husband. And the mother, fed like a baby bird, as she feeds her own wee baby bird. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJilly you are so special for having noticed this. Fabulous! I love your treatment of the photo too.
ReplyDeleteThat little piece of cake looks even more tempting in color!!!
I would love to know how to do that.. single out an object or a person in color, on a B&W shot.
I like the focal black and white photo.
ReplyDeleteThe mother feeding the children and the father feeding the mother harks back to nature and wildlife. Great capture.
Very beautiful photos. Yes, mom is the best, she is always the last one to eat. My late mom always give us the best and she dont complained. Oh, I miss my mom so much. Like the little corner for the kids. Wonderful series of photos of the wedding.
ReplyDeleteMarie-Noyale said it first: I'd love to know how to do that! Most importantly, though, these photos are so charming. What a day it must have been. Are all village weddings this wonderful?
ReplyDeleteMarie-Noyale and Petrea - Picasa has a tool called Focal B & W. You simply click on the photo and then on that particular tool. The photo changes to B & W and you find a + sign in the middle of the photo. You move this around till it's where you want it - you can also make that focal point larger or smaller - and then you click Save or Done or whatever it is. It's that simple.
ReplyDeleteOh and Picasa has just come out with a Mac version.
ReplyDeleteFree downloads for either PC or Mac. I think Picasa is now part of Google.
Who feed the husband? Both his hands are full.
ReplyDeleteMarley observations were just right and Mo's made me laugh. Lovely natura images
ReplyDeleteI like how you've done this, Jilly. Very interesting...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jilly, I'll try it.
ReplyDeleteMo, you made me laugh! Poor husband! Has to feed himself.
Isn't photography a blast? I love the re-visiting, Jilly. And this post has to be my favorite!
