Village Wedding Revisited (41) - the Chewing Gum

This is a tale of a lump of chewing gum.

This young couple - just look at her amazing shoes - are leaving the wedding. He stops (small photo) as he has 'something' on his shoe. That gets sorted and they continue. Kudos to her walking with those high heels on the cobblestones?

  3. Those shoes are amazing and her ability to walk in them on the cobblestones is even more amazing. I'm sure I would have broken something.

  4. Oh dear Jilly this is getting funnier by the minute. The Thoughtful Husband was a nice little tale already but the chewed-in husband is hilarious.

  6. Hi, I LOVE looking at your photo blog!!!! Just wondering why the word on the road is in English?? Do they not usually have 'arret'?

  7. No, the word you'd see in France on a road like this is STOP. I think the French have adopted many English words and vice versa.

  8. He could have worse things on his shoe. As for her shoes, well, quelle horreur! The look like the way Roman legionnaires tied up their military sandals and they don't go well with the dress. In my opinion, anyway.

  9. The make a charming couple. The footwear is a statement in itself. Chewing gum makes them come back down to earth. Course, so would some other stuff. I really like her dress. Wow.

  11. Well, you are at the right time and place to snap the photo. Good shot. I once wore shoes like the girl when I was a teenager. Now my dressing is so sloppy...lol. The couple looked so glamourous.

  12. I guess the well dressed man in Menton can get away with jeans if he wears a tie. I think it looks a little gauche. She is lovely, but those shoes are something else.

Yeah, those shoes of hers, LOL. They are all strings.

  14. This is totally delicious, Jilly!! The chewing gum is probably yhte best, but it's unfair to chose.

  15. The shoes are remarkable. I wouldn't have the patience to wear them because they aren't something you slip into! Great capture!
