Strangely enough this photo almost broke my heart. I just had this feeling that all she wanted was for one of the others to come join her. I think you really reached out to the viewer with this one, Jilly.
I said to myself , "Yep, Littlest Pets" before I saw them in the smaller photo. Little girls are all the same aren't they. Maybe Eva can find some little French girls to play Littlest Pets with in Paris this summer!
I love the muted colors. Sometimes you have to walk alone. Others just don't see things the way you do, or are interested in the more mundane aspects of life, and not what goes on in your creative mind.
Funny, I had the opposite reaction of some of the commenters. I think this little girl is really enjoying herself with her hands-on toys and using her imagination, while I am guessing that one of the other children has a techie toy that the others are crowding around. As a teacher, I have noticed that few children nowadays know how to 'get in there with their hands' and create or play.
Most can just punch buttons. In any case, your photo says all that to me.
I'm with Bibi, she struck me as such an independent little grl wrapped up in her own world. Just shows one image so many reations and stories we weave.
The boy with the #10 jersey has everyone's attention, and i agree with Bibi...it's probably something quite compelling--probably a techie toy. The little girl seems quite content with her own activity. Such an independent lass!!
This is the future of Menton. Lovely photograph.

ReplyDeleteThese pieces of life get me all choked up, Jilly. Thank you for them.

ReplyDeleteGreat pic, and awesome quote! Perfectly paired.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, she doesn't trust the rest of the team ? There's conspiracy in the air ! Better playing individual.
