Daisy Daisy, Give me your answer do!
Daisy Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet on the seat
Of a bicycle built for two !
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet on the seat
Of a bicycle built for two !

Great angle on this shot; says it all. I used to sing that song with my grandfather, who taught it to me. And later, Daisy was my dog, who died two years ago at the age of 15 1/2.
ReplyDeleteIs that photo of you down there with the hood? It looks like a perfect camouflage to take pictures from. I also like the spandex covered, hairless, leg with the writing. Perfect picture cropping.
ReplyDeleteA curious flashy wedding dress with Isostar bubbles as Champagne !
ReplyDeleteA lot of humour in this post, Jilly.
LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat top rider's legs are very skinny!
I won't be able to get that silly song out of my head today. I also have to agree with Sally. Maybe black and white takes off 10 pounds.
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous photos. I love the B&W super crop. It gives you such a sense of intensity. And I love the color shot of the pair of bicyclists, the pair of bench sitters, and the funny stage set mid-ground, with the marvelous hillside background. Rich, rich, rich!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures remind me of Les Triplettes de Belleville.
ReplyDeleteI remember that song, but didn't know right the words. Perfect choice for this post!
ReplyDeleteVery funny post. I had never heard the song.
ReplyDeleteA perfect detail to tell a whole story. I like this better in B&W. Awfully young, strong legs, too.
ReplyDeleteSuperb capture of the cyclists in motion! Does this not shout BOB!? :-) I love it in B&W, too. I have friends now living in Turkey who rode a double bike all through Europe and had such a fantastic adventure. Nothing like an uncommon bike to strike up conversations with the locals!
ReplyDeleteJilly, your song brings back such happy memories for me of my 2nd and 3rd grade habit of swinging and singing this song during our school recess periods. Who knows why that song or where I first heard it. . .probably some old movie, but I loved singing it while swinging. :-)

What a beautiful leg detail. I need thighs like this but couldn't bring myself to cycle up and down between Gorbio and Menton to achieve this. Too bad! LOL
