one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
As you enter the Jardins Bioves we see the vegetable gardens - each representing a different part of the orchestra: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion.
Somehow, you don't expect to see a violin growing out the ground...

j'aime bien ce mélange fruit et instrument de musique. Superbe ta première photo
ReplyDeleteKind of surreal, isn't it, the juxtaposition of a musical instrument among cabbages and lemons? Dali would have painted this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious shot. Colors and textures really build together into an intriguing viewing experience.
ReplyDeleteI like this serie. I like it even more than the floats themselves.
ReplyDeleteIt makes a really original composition. Good souvenirs for me.
Catherine, thanks for your comment. I find it difficult to know what images to use as this is now the third year Menton DP has covered this Fete and I really don't know if the whole 'lemon' thing is boring or not! I suppose because I've seen it a lot, my eye is drawn to the smaller exhibits like these. I found them so touching.
ReplyDeleteAnyway thanks v much.
Nice idea (even if some pesky part of my mind is thinking that the wind instrument might have been placed with the beans...)
ReplyDeletehmm, a violin in the cabbage patch. that would not have been my choice. a violin is too important and has too much range.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so interesting. You are so right, it doesn't seem right to see violins growing from the garden.
ReplyDeleteThe designers of the show are very imaginative.
ReplyDeleteJilly, you are having so much fun! I love seeing it all. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's my first time with this Fete, but I really like your smaller exhibits photos because details usually spark interest.
ReplyDeleteVery nice set!
