La Fête du Citron (Music of the World) - the Medieval Players
This beauty is part of a group, dressed in medieval costume, who play music and throw flags. They are from Cuneo, not far from Turin - in Italy.
Look at the quality of their clothes - fabulous fabrics and so beautifully made.
This was taken as I wandered around before the Corso (parade of floats) started - and actually the best time to get photographs, as on this day we ended up with 25,000 visitors.
Don't miss Bibi's post on A Yankee in Belgrade today. If you like dogs, you won't want to miss it.
beau portrait, on la sent bien dans sa musique. très doux, j'aime beaucoup
ReplyDeleteThere's a Renaissance group here, too, but I haven't seen them for a while. They often spontaneously show up downtown, or are called to play for special occasions.
ReplyDeleteShe is a beautiful young lady apart from the costumes.
ReplyDeleteTwo rich photographs, Jilly. Exquisite subjects beautifully captured.
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely portrait. I like her eyes closed. what a sweet pose. Another lovely festival for us to see!!!

ReplyDeleteShe is a good looking girl! Great portrait.
ReplyDeleteI couldnt help but notice - my first thoughts - she has such nice beautiful skin and smile! The outfit, of course, is quite interesting, but the face is really attractive =)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful girl and photo. We also have Italian musicians coming to Montpellier every year for the Procession Saint-Roch. Their costumes are always exceptionally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful portrait. Their costumes are very elegant and sober, they don't get too much colors.
ReplyDeleteThis year theme allow to receive musicians from all over the world.
Have you seen the Russians ? They were beautiful too.
Kala, I agree. I thought her bones, her skin, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCatherine, I didn't see the Russians. A pity. I only stayed at the Corso for half an hour as I couldn't see a thing over people's heads and all taller than me!
More to come tho...
Wonderful costumes, and the hat!!!
