If they'd had portable telephones in those days, I wonder what message he'd be texting?

How about, "A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou..but I'll be late for lunch, sweetie. Another dragon to slay."
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
bien vu ;o)))
ReplyDeleteThat's very funny! On se croirait dans les Visiteurs :-)
ReplyDeleteI think he is texting that his skirt is riding up.
ReplyDeleteHeehee! Great catch, Jilly. Love the rich trimming of the costume!
ReplyDeleteI love his face. I'm trying to imagine him in contemporary clothing. I think he has that chameleon quality that allows him to slip into any garb and fit right in.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, love this.
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast of the old and new! :)
ReplyDeleteSomething like : "Darling, found a Casino. Won't be back until late. Do not wait for me for dinner"
ReplyDeleteThat's a snapshot, glad you catch this moment. You're talented in taking pictures of people.
Concerning the floats, I'm like you. Watching it twice, and having seen pictures of the previous Fête des Citrons, I feel a little bit bored, there's no more the surprise effect. I prefers details, now.
But, please, continue next year and the following. Imagine for someone who discovers it , even on pictures, for the first time ! It's amazing.
Have a great sunny week-end, Jilly.
What a colorful outfit. I guess that explains why men like to dress up and play games sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI think he's checking messages from his wife and she's telling him to bring home some wine and bread for supper.
A classic moment of worlds and eras colliding.
ReplyDeleteThe richness of the garment really makes a fine photo.
ReplyDeleteThat's a hoot - I'm sure I should be able to think of something but my mind is a blank. NB watched the Paris Nice race finishing today and thought about Menton along the coast
ReplyDeletelol! Behold the power of the blackberry! :)
