The Prettiest Hair Salon in Menton

Forget your modern hair dressing salons - how about a tiny courtyard with a bench whilst you wait - flowers galore - and the yachts in the harbour across the road.

  2. What gorgeous flowers too. I love the little terrace. In more utilitarian times and places that would be deemed a commercial "waste of money-making space" !

  3. Never seen this one. I must be more attentive. A very nice picture in blue shade.

  4. What is that thing woven around the bottom of each of the uprights that supports the flowers? Looks like something deliberate?

  5. Catherine, I said the same thing to myself. I must have walked past this a hundred times and not noticed it.

Abe, I don't know about the rope but the rest is some sort of lighting.

  16. What a photo. I want to go in just to see what the interior is like. Such gorgeous blue colors and a great marketing theme.

  17. Joe,Robin,Tom - There is a new Cocteau museum being built. I have featured the Bastion many times, which is where the current museum is. Unfortunately you can't take photographs inside.

  19. Much but much better than the usual coiffure shops you see around!! Brava, Jilly, I agree with you.

  20. Oh Jilly, the first thing that popped into my head when I read this was a hair salon was, "do they specialize in blue hair tints?" My mom had the most gorgeous head of thick white hair, and her stylist used to add a bit of silver-blue rise called "Shimmer Lights," sort of white balance for hair to keep it from going to the yellow side of the spectrum. Plenty of comedians in the States refer to the females of the retired resort set as "blue hair ladies."

I just got my hair cut today and it was fun. My stylist does the nicest head massages, so not only do I walk out looking better I really feel great.

I do love the shade of blue here, and the pretty matching flowers.

Hi, I am new in Menton and would love to go to this hairdresser. Is it down past the markets?

  22. Julie, it's near to Le Petit Port. The exact address is 6, rue Bastion - check it out on the map. It's facing the sea just past that roundabout by the Bastion - on the Italian side. Welcome to Menton, Julie!
