Beach Tree
Yesterday. No sun and later heavy rain over Les Sablettes. There's something about a tree on a beach that I just love. In summer, when this tree is in full leaf, it's used by families to shade babies in pushchairs.

Watching it, I wonder how it could grow so close to the sea, it must like salty water ?
I always scramble to get under a tree if I go to the beach. Don't like to sit in the sun. I bet you're going to show us this tree again in mid-summer when it's shading babies.

You would know this. I don't know of any major beach in Oz that has a tree on the sand like this. Creek beds, yes. But a beach.

ReplyDeleteWe could use one of these trees on the beaches of South Alabama. The shade would be wonderful in July and August.

ReplyDeleteI really like trees on the beach. I am very grateful that in Costa Rica, there are always trees on the beach. When I go to Pacific Beach in California, there are no trees on the beach and it is sad.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I don't know the name of this tree but it is amazing it grows out of sand. I will endeavour to find out but it won't be immediate.
ReplyDeleteBecause the salted water that it must, per force, pump into its roots, you'd expect little fish to grow on the branches...
