one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
They were sitting on a bench in front of the sea, their restaurant, Coté Sud, behind them. Four guys, one girl. The girl didn't want to be photographed. Here are four smiling Italians. Need I say more. Che bello!

une belle brochette de maitre. beau portrait
ReplyDeleteLa cuisine with South tastes is often quality symbol.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, when the cooks look having pleasure to work together.
I wonder why I hesitate so often asking to take a picture, people seem to appreciate having their portrait.
Have a nice week-end, Jilly. We go back tomorrow, won't be a good one, for me.
You make so nice and joyful portraits! (Too bad however that the girl is missing.) :-)
ReplyDeleteAvec mon meilleur souvenir, Jilly.
ReplyDeleteJ'espère que l'on se reverra , cette fois-ci au "Balico".
La semaine prochaine j'espère que tu viendras sur mon blog, je le consacrerai à Menton (avant que peter ne le fasse mieux que moi).
A bientôt.
They look like they are having fun.
ReplyDeleteInteresting the girl didn't want to be photographed. I wonder.
ReplyDeleteI like the black and white version of this picture.
Living in such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived, you might enjoy a look at The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio. It is where I was born and raised and it is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.
The Hamlet of Gordon
I thought those "French" chefs looked rather Italian! :-)
ReplyDeleteEating in Menton is such a pleasure! And gentlemen - and ladies - such as these make it a wonderful experience. The promenade is lined with restaurants serving delicious South of France cuisine. Lots of seafood and fresh vegetables and pasta - the Mediterranean diet people in the states find so elusive. We spent a year in Menton to learn how to live a healthy life everyday - from the masters! We have maintained our French lifestyle as well as we can in Iowa where fresh markets are scarce in the winter and seafood has to be flown in overnight to be fresh. It was easier in Florida, but you should have seen the stares when I walked along Naples Beach with my baguette under my arm every afternoon! In Menton, everyone I passed would have had their bread with them as well.
ReplyDeleteAhhh our Italian men again today. Grazie!!! :)

You're starting to get a reputation with all these Italian men! lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really good informal group photo.
How charming! They are so full of warm personality. I bet it's a heck of a good restaurant.
ReplyDeleteFour Italian Chefs, omg, I just ate and I'm hungry again.
ReplyDeleteAnother one of your great portraits, Jilly. Works really well in b&w. Are we allowed to say which of these gentlemen we find the most handsome?
ReplyDeleteIs their cooking as good as their smile!!!
