Peter's photograph says it all really - the Mediterranean and palm trees. Click on the link to see a beautiful collage of photographs Peter took in the medieval village of Roquebrune.

Thats a superb view of the sea. Very nice Photo.
ReplyDeletePeter's caught the spirit of the early May week-end: the crop of the photo, the placing of the boat and the figures, just the way that all the little elements add up. This is the myth we want to believe, the truth we also know. So now we wait 6 months and see it in October / November. The other side of the coin.
ReplyDeletePrecisely, Chuckeroon. All those wonderful verticals and then the gentle relief of the green fronds bringing our eye back to the sea. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe trees remind me also of photos that Sharon in Phoenix has shown the lasts few days of palm tree groves. But, she doesn't have the sea! Now, off the Peter's.
ReplyDeleteChuckeroon, is it a myth? Are you saying the weather won't be good in Menton in October/November, or have I misunderstood? October is heaven here. Christmas: lunch on the terrace. The boats and the palm trees and the sea - they don't go away.
ReplyDeleteLook carefully in the sky, you will see a very little dot. This is the plane from Montréal with me and my Carole coming to Menton 1st June for ONE MONTH !

Really nice photo - good peaceful, relaxing Med feel about it
ReplyDeleteJilly, I actually checked back to last year on the blog. I saw the "truth". It's not a myth. ;-) You win.
