Nearly 700 children and adolescents took part in a day of street theatre recently. It was organised by the
Service Education of Menton and called '
Rencontres Franco-Italiennes de Rue' and took place throughout the Old Town. The young actors came from Liguria, Piemont , the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes - which included, of course, Menton.
This young girl was part of an Italian group. I haven't a clue what it was all about but she was a good actress.
Note: the shop is the background is the Menton health shop for invalids - so she's in the right place!
portait magnifique de cette très belle actrice. un pièce de théâtre gore, c'est assez rare
ReplyDeleteAssez curieux en pleine rue, ça ne doit pas laisser indifférent ...
ReplyDeletehmmm, i have to wonder what it was all about, including the rope on her arm
ReplyDeleteLes photos sont très belles, mais du sang, toujours du sang, dommage de gâcher une aussi belle fille!
ReplyDeleteIt's painful to watch through these images...was it painful in person? Knowing that it's street theater is the energy less concentrated?
ReplyDeleteBrattcat, because I hadn't a clue what it was about - also I arrived half way thru the piece - I suppose it wasn't painful. Anyway I was too busy trying to get a good photograph. It got a lot of applause tho and certainly people seemed very involved. I do think it is somewhat less in energy, as it were, as it's outside and pedestrians are walking amongst it all (see tomorrow)- too many distractions.
ReplyDeleteoooh, i also love the one underneath! Looks like they are all into their play anyway.
ReplyDeleteAltho the actress in the top photo is very attractive, my eyes are drawn to the scooter instead. Would love to have one; better yet, have one in Menton in which to tool around!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a terrible strain on the back and thighs to be stuck in this position very long. She sure is dressed for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteMy look back to the good old days on Decoration Day
nice photos
ReplyDeleteThat looks a bit scary! Quite a contrast to the past few days :)
ReplyDeleteTough stuff, interesting photos, but I'm not sure to understand their play.
ReplyDeleteGore at Menton daily photo?
ReplyDeleteNow that's new LOL!
Your zoom did it again. Great portraits.
Great shots of her expressions, perhaps a little of modern Hamlet?
ReplyDeleteCertainly an interesting show, Jilly. I imagine, the crowd watching all around.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are ! Here, the weather is something like an autumn month.
what a contrast to the street theatre in Monte Carlo!
