Taken from the Old Cemetery, we are looking down on the Sablettes beach. Further along, we see the Port of Garavan and just beyond, Italy. The large square area, just before the port, is called the
Stade and will soon be used when Menton welcomes the beautiful pure-blood Arabian horses for their annual Championship Show. Out of shot, and to our right, is the Old Port.
une vue magnifique, qui fait rĂªver.

Beautiful shot. I was wondering about that big square. Will you take us there when the horses arrive?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much; I needed to see the sun today--somewhere! I would love to see the Arabians as well when they arrive.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous View!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such a gorgeously perfect view. Now I know why I need to return to Menton ;-)
ReplyDeleteI loved your young chess player shots too!
What a beautiful and clear day. I love this vista. Is that San Remo in the far distance?
ReplyDeleteMagnificently Beautiful~
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the view and the lesson!
David
Very inviting.
ReplyDeleteIl faut un maillot de bain et une paire de lunette de soleil par ici.
ReplyDeleteSurtout lorsqu'on est peu entrainé
Where is Scotty? I need to be teleported there right now!
ReplyDeleteSally, can't believe it's one year since you were here. Time goes far too fast! Come back soon!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'll take some shots of the Arabians. I did last year actually - or was it the year before? It's on at the end of June.
And Marta, am not sure if you can see San Remo or not. Perhaps that is S. Remo beyond that first bay. It's about 40 ks I believe, perhaps a little less.
When I spoke about colours and Menton, I've forgotten the wonderful deep blue......Essential.
