one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
Watering cans and a cloth - essential care for the graves in Gorbio's cemetery. The sign talks about abandoned or expired concessions.

cela fait penser a une horloge en arrosoir ;)
ReplyDeleteNow this is a really thought-provoking photo. The 'avis' sign won't last much longer where it is; will get wet? And the shrub that has been uprooted; why? Tidy watering cans!
ReplyDeleteSome watering cans, an uprooted shrub, a rag, all around the 'ancient' note under the sun in a cemetery. Excellent composition, great image.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photo. I could probably shoot a similar one, at least with the cans and the stone wall.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is so moving. All the elements come together to make this an eloquent image of loss. What clinches it for me is at the bottom of the photograph...the lifeless ground supporting the wall. Amazing shot.
ReplyDeleteNice still life in the cemetery.
ReplyDeleteSimply great...
ReplyDeleteTwo nice ones, J. What a wonderful tree, yesterday, and a nice pinsharp set of cans today. This is looking like a vintage week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise to see your caption and comments after seeing the photo on the portal. I was struck by the colour of the watering cans, which just happens to be my favorite shade. Providing these cans for the care of the graves and grounds seems like such a civilized thing to do.
ReplyDeleteOlivier said a clock, I see a water mill, with these watering cans disposed like sails.
