Waiting to dance, which she did as you see in the small photograph.
I so admire women like this. No longer young but she's not given up. She dresses beautifully, she wears carefully chosen jewellry. She hasn't had a face-lift, she doesn't have dyed hair, she wears a touch of makeup. She is the natural feminine beauty she is.
Of course it would be better if she didn't smoke.
My, my! She hasn't given up by a long shot. Look at those shoes! I'm thinking the tango keeps you young and sexy!HA

Bravo: to your subject for aging gracefully; and, to you for having the courage to acknowledge the beauty of aging in a world that worships youth.
ReplyDelete«Louis» agrees with you on all points! Good capture!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portrait. I'd be unable to make one step with these shoes!
ReplyDeleteSo interesting the way you've cropped the first shot with that young blonde in the background. The girl is like a memory of the past flitting across the back of the mind of this beautiful woman in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all your comments. Beautiful lady.
ReplyDeleteI like brattcat's observation. Those shoes would be a challenge for me to walk in let alone dance. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the 3rd photo! Her downcast eyes, the line of her shoulders - she reminds me of "Absinthe" by Degas. At the party but not quite a participant.
ReplyDeletelove...love this post. i would love to hear the stories she has to tell.
ReplyDeleteI was falling in love with her until I saw the cigarette in her hand.
ReplyDeleteSo nice and such a nice coincidence that ware have simultaneous tango posts!
ReplyDeleteWhere are her thoughts...
ReplyDeleteIs she just listening to the music?
These are lovely shots of a striking and beautiful woman...
ReplyDeleteMenton is full of beautiful old babes, and they still dress to the hilt with perfect coiffures and maquillage. I loved to see the fashion show on the promenade when they came down from the hills for Sunday lunch. Yesterday's models and mistresses still looking great. The Mediterranean climate must have a preserving effect on people, or maybe it is the Mediterranean attitude of going with time instead of against it.
ReplyDeleteAnd she has a pair of gorgeous legs too.
