Procession Votive - La Chapelle de la Pausa - Inside
This chapel is tiny. Really. A few steps and you've covered the width or length of it, Take a look at the exterior in yesterday's post. And of course it was crowded with people, not a chance of using a tripod of even resting the camera somewhere.
So here it is. Frescoes everywhere. I love it. Do you?
I really DO love the pastels...and this photo could have been a Skywatch Friday one!
ReplyDeletela fresque du dôme est magnifique.
ReplyDeleteOh,yes, it's a delicate feast for the eye.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful How does one get to live in such an historic place with all its festivals, music and mosaics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do! It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWonderful that you managed to get these pictures, tripod or not! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow exquiste Jilly, I am so glad we were able to get inside of this chapel. I would love to sit a while and just enjoy the beauty and solitude. I was able to do that so often in Paris. It was so meaningful to be able to visit and enjoy the magnificent churches and spend a few quiet moments in each. Peter made sure I got to visit so very many special ones.
ReplyDeleteJilly, I've just been catching up on this wondrous festival and your chronicle of it. The procession, the ancient archway, the young photographer, and now this. This whole thing is really something magical. The history of the festival itself is compelling.
ReplyDeleteSO beautiful!
