Theme Day: Contrast at the Procession Votive

It's Theme Day once again and the subject is 'Contrast.' Here we have the contrast of a medieval man and his modern daughter and of course, the contrasts in the photo itself - taken at the Procession Votive in Roquebrune Village. Papa played a scribe.

  16. I really like this one! He almost looks like a statue. In the thumbnails I was wondering how a statue was holding a live person. :)

  29. Oh my, another fabulous "Jilly Portrait" . This one is just the best. I loved the entire procession and getting to meet the participants up close has been so special. Contrast indeed. I hope this father gets a copy of this photograph.

  30. I forgot to add that the light is gorgeous. Ordinarily this bright light wouldn't work but here it is just right! I like the space you left beside her too. Great composition.

  31. Found this wonderful photograph by accident. What a beautiful little girl. Love the black and white composition. Going to Menton in September, the town looks so atmospheric.
