Ventimiglia Market - Emilia, the Carpet Dog

We're back at the Friday market in Ventimiglia today. So many of the stallholders have dogs. This one, a French bulldog called Emilia looks most indignant at having her photograph taken and her owner looks somewhat bemused.
They live in San Remo, just along the Ligurian coast from Ventimiglia.
Oh, what a sweet, sweet face, indignant or not. And I love her get-up. Bibi refuses to wear 'clothes,' except for a raincoat. She hats the rain. (Her raincoat is a trenchcoat....)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these photos.
superbement habillé le chien, il a le look ;o) photo culte
ReplyDeleteOoh I want to take him home
ReplyDeleteI hope that's all he uses those rugs for.
ReplyDeleteShe "tries" the carpets, no ?
ReplyDeleteSeems confortable....obviously, you disturb her Jilly, with the photo session.....
Jilly what a fun shot! He looks almost human!
ReplyDeleteHm, sorry, I hate the 'outfit' - apart from a real need to keep an animal warm (which wouldn't happen often on the Riviera?) I can't see why we should put dogs into clothes, they're not dolls after all. I immediately thought it was why the poor thing looked indignant, having her photo taken in a kind of baggy tracksuit!
ReplyDeleteI saw the top of the photo and as I scrolled down and saw Emilia I laughed out loud. How wonderful!!! Great one Jilly but I expect these perfect pooch shots from you as always.

ReplyDeleteI tell ya, its the last thing you want when you are having a "bad day" - a woman with a camera! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious one! :)
