Chemin des Crèches - the Mail Box
Not sure where to put your crib? Perhaps an old mail box will do - and it does. Perched on top of a wall, it catches our eye as we wander through the village.
Very good capture. The red ornaments make it a bit more festive, and I love the way that the one on the right has captured your image, capturing the festive creche!
This is a lovely series,Roquebrune is our favourite village - after Gorbio! Happy Christmas Jilly and Best Wishes to everyone whose comments I so enjoy.
So much nicer to use it like this than to simply pull it down. What interests me is its size. Did it belong to a boarding house, perhaps? I wonder what else was delivered in that box? Milk perhaps?
Our creativity is endless! Merry, Merry!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! I love it.

ReplyDeleteI wonder where the the letter carrier puts the mail.

And Merry Christmas!!!
It's a terrific thought, and one that just doesn't make sense in our town, where we only use our feet to walk from the door to the car.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to walk past these "surprises".
