Chemin des Crèches - the Oil Drum Crib
A crib in an oil drum? Don't you just love the imagination of the villagers? The last photo doesn't show the actual crib very well - but you get the idea...
They are all wonderful in their own unique way, the creches that you have shown over the last ten days or so, Jilly. They are an officially sanctioned "walk" and over 150 of them all told. Just astonishing. Do you know when this tradition commenced?
Unique creativity....( I don`t know if you can say that in English, and my French is not helping this moment) Anyway, I always look forward to see your photos and read your blog! Have a nice day in the SUN!:-)
Original cet endroit pour mettre une crèche ;)

ReplyDeletePeople are so inventive.
ReplyDeleteThis one's hilarious! You must be a 'hunter'. How do you track them all down?
ReplyDeleteWhat will they think of next? I'm sure you'll show us! HA

I love this -- esp. the roof on the can. I want to try to make one too!
ReplyDeleteCrib in an oil drum? And why not! Lol!
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly inventive!
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas bauble creche was one of my favourites, perhaps because your photo was so good!
Well ... Middle East, oil ...
ReplyDeleteStrange one.

All of these creches are unique in their own individual way. This may not be the most elegant, but it certainly is interesting!
