The Little Archway - 2
Here we see yesterday's archway again but this time in context. The shadow of the lamp is for Nathalie (Avignon in Photos) from whom I learned to notice and see the wonder of shadows and reflections.

A place full of atmosphere and charm. So pretty.... :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what presence that lantern shadow has. In some ways it seems more real than the dream-like feel of the rest of the photograph. So interesting.
ReplyDeleteAs a child, I always loved to rush to the shadow to get cool and to the light to feel warmth..... up and down....... left and right....... repeat. Makes me dizzy just remembering the fun. Great photo!

The first thing that caught my eye was the shadow of the lamp, and yes as a photographer those are the quirky things you look for. The whole scene as a lover of all things French just delightful and so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHow similar to old Lisbon! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAhhh the lamp shadow is......perfect and how true, it's SOOOO Nathalie! :)

Light and shadows, they play together in the narrow streets of the old town....

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the photo with the shadow I immediately thought ooooh I like this, I could have taken that! And then I read your comment and couldn't help but laugh and chuckle and feel very moved. Thanks for that Jilly.
...and you succeeded perfectly well! Lovely atmosphere.
