The Seashore of the Mind

'Sit in reverie, and watch the changing color of the waves that break upon the idle seashore of the mind.'

  3. Ou Niou means "The Nest" in Mentonnais and in French it is
Le Nid. I enjoy your site every morning! The Citiout link is great!

  5. I'll just catch the english word "reverie".
It's my favorite past time wherever I am in front of the sea, just as if I was in front of a confidant, a very deep and secret one, because it is dumb.

  6. " I must go down to the sea again,
to the lonely sea and sky,
and all I ask is a tall ship,
and a star to steer her by."

Nothing like the movement of the sea to venture the mind and soul to wander.

  9. The person standing at the shore may be dreaming of summer. Your photo brings back some strong memories of our two visits to Provence and the Cote d'Azur. The first time we went the Web was very new. Nice Soir was one of the first newspapers online. We found a restaurant there on the beach a bit west of the city and drove over one evening. I had my Web printout in my hand when we arrived. Madame, who ran the front end, snatched it from me and carried it over head to the kitchen to show her husband that this crazy idea actually brought in some business.

I can't remember the name of the restaurant but their slogan was "les garcons qui chantant." And they did.

  10. I love the brilliant yellow of the chairs with the blue water and sky, and the person in the heavy coat to remind us that it is not summer is the perfect touch. Really a nice photograph!
