one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
With cinema as the theme at this year's Fête du Citron, then the Cannes Film Festival had to feature and it did. This poster is from 2007 when the festival celebrated its 60th year.
The smaller photo shows spools of film and editing scissors.

This is appropriate. When we spent a week in Monaco (actually, Cap d'Ail) in May 2002, we went to Cannes for a day during the Film Festival. It was fun.
ReplyDeleteWho comes up with all these ideas? I must say some of those you have published are great and imagination was required. I like the reels and scissors the best.
ReplyDeleteAnd yesterday's post, just about proves the closer you get to nude, Jilly, the more comments you are going to get - comparing the Cinema - One for the Boys and Cinema and the Venetian Ladies.
Though I haven't seen it yet, I suppose there is such a blog somewhere in Blogger.
Wow this is a fabulous festival, must be amazing to see it in real life, if your photos are anything to go by :-)
ReplyDeleteVery fruity, fun, lovely decorations! Wonderful photographic finds, Jilly!

Pretty cool. Each year they really come up with some great designs.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I'd really love to attend this festival in person. I wonder if it could ever live up to your beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Brattcat...seeing the festival would be great!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how I didn't see this poster ! A summary, nicely done to integrate Cannes to this year's fête du Citron.
