A Mug or a Bus Ticket?

A mug for 1 euro. Seems so cheap, doesn't it?

But you know, there is something else you can get for one euro that is even better value. A bus ticket! You can take a bus anywhere in Alpes-Maritimes for 1 euro and the Alpes-Martimes is a big area - you can visit Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, Mougins, Vence, Vallauris, Roquefort-les-Pins and of course all the places nearer to Menton like Roquebrune and Sospel and Monaco.

Good value, I'd say.

  2. I don't know if we have the same in Hérault. But what I can say is "we pay 1,40 euro to go on the bus!!!! That's very expensive, all the more as people who take the bus are not the wealthiest people in Montpellier.

  6. Hi!
Yes, I'd prefer the bus ticket, too.
Fortunately cheap in that area. And for 3 € a day ticket!!! ;-))
    Looking forward to that...

  7. Julie's right! HA I think it a challenge to drink from it without it spilling all over you. I'd take the bus all around your beautiful area!

  8. Well, that is cheap, for both the bus and the mug.

I could travel happily all over for that price.

    I love the Provencal material....

  9. Both seem quite inexpensive ... but of the two examples, the bus fare seems the better value. In Seattle a simple short ride of a very few miles into the city will cost $2.

  10. I ♥ Menton too.....But I 'd prefer a bus ticket than a 1 € mug to go wherever I want.....maybe, simply to La Vignasse station ! :-)

  11. I had no idea about the bus. What a deal. We had a car when we were there, but the bus sounds wonderful.

  12. Yes my daughter in law has mentioned that cheap bus fare to travel the Alpes-Maritimes. Much better to take the bus & let someone else do the driving and sit back and enjoy the scenery hey.
The mug could remain just another "empty vessel" on the shelf.LOL

  13. Mais pourquoi ne pas dire: "J'aime Menton"?

  14. Bob, no idea. Perhaps the mugs are made in China. Perhaps they are made elsewhere and it's a mistake, hence their costing only 1 euro. Perhaps the French know and say I love you as we say je t'aime at romantic moments...or don't you do that?!
