Apricale - the Old Dog
We're in the medieval hill village of Apricale. See yesterday's post for a long shot of the village showing the houses as they seems to tumble down the hillside.
I wonder many dogs have walked these same cobblestones over the centuries?
(Click on the link to see more of this dog on Riviera Dogs today.)
belle composition, ce vieux chien tranquille qui se balade tout seul, j'aime beaucoup
ReplyDeleteOh, to live in such a place and know all the pets by name. Quelle rêve.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder the same! He's edging his way down every so carefully over the cobblestones like I do, when they're wet anyway.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful image, Jilly. Love the composition and balance of this.
ReplyDeletea beautiful image, a bit sad but full of mood and character! Impeccable framing.
ReplyDeleteWe would call that a "hang dog" look! What a lovely place. I would love to visit although I don't think I would be able to leave!

Yes, Virginia, me too. Now we know why Jilly stayed when she got to Menton. I think I'd stop in Apricale and never go. (I say that about Menton, too.)
ReplyDeleteI strongly recommend your visitors click on the link you provide to "Riviera Dogs" - they will get a chance to see you in ambush ready to take a picture of that dog. I think it's so funny, I really like it!
ReplyDeleteLove the composition of this picture. Enlarged, I think it would make a great picture to hang on a wall.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo Jilly!
ReplyDeleteDo you know Jilly where my new profile picture was taken ? wink.....
ReplyDeleteBlogspot has lost my previous comment. I wrote something like : an old dogs who knows certainly better than the inhabitants of Apricale each cobblestone, each hiding places, each corners of the old town, I guess.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo! Love the village and the dog!
