ReplyDeleteOh my friend, you scored twice on this entry. Bravo, bravo! I agree, I wish she had known she had an admirer. Well actually she has many many.......all of us! :)

Ahhh, I just spotted the tiny white cups of expresso. I miss that and the little tubes of sucre and the delightful almond with chocolat!!!! Sigh!

Love that woman's head of hair. Isn't red fun to photograph?!
ReplyDeleteI think that there's something amiss with the portal again because there is only one photo on the theme day blog. Thought it was funny because there should be many more by this time. Perhaps it's just an April Fool's joke!!
Did you send a flyer in Menton
ReplyDeleteasking for Help with the theme?!!!
Lucky You, they went along and dressed in red!
Nice captures. Too bad you couldn't have caught all three in the same scene.
ReplyDeleteGood theme day choice.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
I knew I could count on you for a great interpretation of the red theme.
ReplyDeletesuperbe portrait, et puis hommage au film de Robert Florey "The Woman in Red"
ReplyDeleteThumbs up Jilly. Même l'expression est tellement vraie. Mais pourquoi porte-t-elle MON duffle-coat ?!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot with red in the background too. And the red sleeves too.
ReplyDeleteCheers.

Red is my favorite color, and apparently I'm not alone. Visiting theme day posts brings a higher than normal number of excellent photos today. Yours included, by the way! Nice!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, this woman is getting around today. We saw her on a bench in Paris, and in a subway station in Boston! So, will you introduce us to the gentleman to her right in the top shot? :-) I actually think he is looking at you.

Patty was wearing a red dress on this date, April Fool's Day 1955, when I took the picture of her. I had just given her an engagement ring. So this is our 55th April Fool's Anniversary or engagement anniversary -- whichever is the more romantic.

wow, i bet you couldnt believe your luck :)
ReplyDeleteBravo, bravo! Maybe she DOES know she's being admired...and just has a lot of 'je m'en foutisme!'
ReplyDeleteI like Kim's comments....and I think he's cute, too.
wonderfully poignant, jilly.
ReplyDeleteIt looks rather cold. She needs that warm coat and hot coffee.
ReplyDeleteRandom expressions of red all in one scene! Great job.
ReplyDeleteVery clever!
ReplyDeleteI love the echoes of red even behind the admirer on the right. You've captured the theme perfectly!
ReplyDeletesuperbe portrait mais les hommes des photos trouvent ton modèle très beau
ReplyDeleteIsabelle looks lovely in RED! She does seem to turn a head!
ReplyDeleteSmashing RED theme day post!
Love the first image, great expressions on a perfect city scene with mood and ambiance. Perfectly captured!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I can actually FEEL the warmth of the sun on her RED coat.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment over at my RED wine post. Salut!
Ciao
What wonderful captures, Jilly!
ReplyDeleteBoth wearing red! :-) Fantastic capture!
ReplyDeleteOh, so beautiful! What color. Love her duffle coat. I wish she looked happier!
ReplyDeleteThe lady in red was meant for Virginia? She just mentioned your blog on her's.
