The Rake's Progress

It's Sunday. Let's be kids - perhaps we still are regardless of our age. I hope so.

The garden of the Serre de la Madone in Menton recently ran a hands-on workshop to teach children the joys of gardening, hence the decorated rakes and the scarecrow that welcomed them.

  8. What fun! I love your title. This time four years ago my son was in Menton - I remember because it was at World Cup time - on a school French Tour. He now has a BA in French and cant wait to get back!

  10. Superb idea. Thanks for the photos, Jilly.

By the way, we lost our sweet Duncan on Wednesday, June 9. We're certain that he's now playing at full tilt with my aunt's two golden retrievers Honey and Ginger and my brother's good-sized, rescued mutt Sadie. Not bad for a 10-pound miniature dachshund, to be accepted by the big dogs! Mama and I miss the little guy very much, but we have such splendid memories. I've posted three about Duncan in the past week, in case you want to take a look.
