This gentleman has grown a large moustache and an even larger embonpoint but looks like he needs help fixing his life jacket...

    What a set of shots. I can only guess the meaning of embonpoint...not in my pathetically limited French vocabulary. The second shot is a deliciously beckoning composition. We're drawn straight into the scene and beyond, straight up the hillside. Thank you, Jilly, for your posts, and for your wonderful comments.

    I think he has more than just a "soupcon" of "embonpoint".

    I agree with Nadege regarding the vertical stripes, bien sûr.

    The second shot is just delicious and the scene is the same as the cover of Bien Dire this issue with a great mention of Menton! The action in your photo brings us to the scene and to the party on the left side of the photo! Pass the wine, s'il vous plaît.

    In England we would call it a 'beer belly!' Sorry. I just love this series, we were at the Fete three years ago so it brings back such happy memories and your photos are so clever.
