Féte Saint Pierre - Exuberance

Four year old Wilamena is having the best fun running around the wonderful space that is the Parvis in front of the Basilica as she waits for the church service to end. Later, she and her sister - we met them two days ago - will lead the procession through the town.

  1. So very sweet.
There is something so charming about little girls in long skirts.
The patterns in stone are graceful too.

  5. What a wonderful series of posts! And I really like the Henry James quote about a lot of history needed to make a tradition.

    Very, very nice, Jilly!

  6. Jilly,

Charming and refreshing to see such enchantment by the sea. Wonderful traditions to live by.

  7. Children of this age are a delight as they revel in their own physicality. Wonderful study, Jilly.

  9. Such fierceness in such a young child. She could have been painted by Delacroix.

  10. Gosh! She's beautiful. There's definitely something about little girls in long skirts (and wee little boys in long pants.)
