Before living here I used to think of a fan as something used in a theatre production or perhaps bought in a fairground. In Menton it's quite usual to see women fanning themselves on a warm evening.
This lady is listening to an artist welcoming us to the
vernissage of his exhibition at the
Serre de la Madone. I wouldn't mind her cheekbones!
So "el abanico" is not only a Spanish matter... ;-))
ReplyDeleteYou are right, perfect cheekbones, perfect shape of the face!

Wonderful image. Beautiful face!
ReplyDeleteWhat I adore is the echoing curve of the neck and the shoulder, and the way you have captured the light in the small hairs on the back of her neck. Not bad. Not bad at all.
ReplyDeleteThey have all but vanished from the scene here.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wouldn't mind her grace and poise. Beautiful captures.
ReplyDeleteI like the light as well in these photos of this very elegant woman. And I love how she has allowed her hair to go grey and it looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of letting the fake color grow out and the authentic gray hair take over. Oh how I wish it to be as beautiful as this woman's! Isn't she just so lovely?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lady!
ReplyDeleteJilly, you have done it again! A beautiful woman and incredible photo portrait. The light on the second is simply perfect!
ReplyDeleteBoth she and her fan are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jilly for helping us all celebrate women of this age.
