What child wouldn't be proud of a duckling like that?
Some people give children chicks, especially around Easter, but the families are not prepared to raise a bird. I hope this girl's family is able to take care of the duck as it grows.
Vaïmatea? With a name like and her beautiful features I bet she's got something to do with Tahiti or French Polynesia. Perhaps one of her parents or grand-parents is from there?
Please note there's a typo in her name in your post title (Vaïmater). You might want to correct that?
Aww, she is so cute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portrait. I had a duck when I was in third grade. He was an Easter present, and I loved him. He lived a full life.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have found a cute model, and created some very nice shots!:)
ReplyDeleteAnd a very willing model. Very cute.

Dave, her father bred the ducklings so no problem in caring for it.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I see online today & it's so lovely. Make way for ducklings...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jilly.

What a precious photo!
ReplyDeleteThe thing I like best about the top photo is the potential in the girl's hands - almost ready to clasp the duck, but her world could change direction.
