Cat's Cradle

'Who among us hasn't envied a cat's ability to ignore the cares of daily life and to relax completely?

  1. Isn't there a poem about cats' being able to sleep anywhere?---Wait---here it is; love the Internet!

    Cats Sleep Anywhere
Cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair.
Top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle, on the edge.
Open draw, empty shoe, anybody's lap will do.
Fitted in a cardboard box, in the cupboard with your frocks.
Anywhere! They don't care! Cats sleep anywhere.

  2. A super Ginger with a white shirt! I wonder if he does tribal head-butting like mine used to do with me. I read they have it common with lions, who head-but to communicate friendship and team membership. We developed quite a ritual where he walked up 3 - 4 stairs so that I did not have go down to floor level, turned and put his head down to start the procedure.

  5. I envy cats for being able to sleep anywhere. What he's sleeping on looks so uncomfortable. How do they do this?!

I like how you used color in this photo, sort of monochromatic. Really nice.

  9. At a place like Menton, I guess the cats have no enemies. Not even dogs?

  10. My eyes must be getting old. Looking at the thumbnail, I thought this was a loaf of bread. Wrong. But you're right. Cats seem unable to have an anxiety disorder.
