one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
Today we meet Monsieur Zanatta's charming assistant, Madame Evelyne Sauvage - and her dog! He wouldn't want to fall off the scaffolding but then obviously he's used to sitting happily alongside his owner whilst she does her delicate and beautiful work.

How fun that she would bring her dog along with her and how good her dog is to sit there so patiently. Fun picture! What a daunting job.
ReplyDeleteSo fabulous to see, the faithful canine friend and the façade getting a facelift. Please show us the final product.
ReplyDeleteThat is great. I love the quiet participation of the dog.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's going to be great!
ReplyDeleteFrench dogs are some of the best behaved dogs in the world. I have seen them sit for hours under the tables in restaurants without causing any fuss, even when other dogs are nearby, and no matter what delicious food is being devoured over their heads. Maybe it is because they are taken almost everywhere when they are puppies, and are welcome almost anywhere as well - even on scaffolding.
ReplyDeleteAnd quite a lovely artist she is. I'm worried about that pup but surely she knows he's safe.

What a charming picture. I would have to tether my dog to keep my mind focused on the work at hand.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize from the first shot just how high up they are! What a brave little pooch. Wonderful storytelling in these photos.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Jilly, this little dog had to grab your attention, couldn't go unnoticed.
ReplyDeleteLike Petrea I am very impressed by the dazzling height he sits at.
I assume he is safe but wow !
Now I've seen everything! A dog way up on a scaffold!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Bibi would definitely NOT like that.
ReplyDeleteJilly, so often you capture the depth and beauty of the simple things. This little series of the artist and her dog fills me with a quiet joy.
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder, were you leaning out a very high window to take the photo?
ReplyDeletePetrea I was walking down a higher part of the village and snapped this from the end of a narrow street. I was therefore on the level of the woman - more or less and give and take the zoom!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
